My Gift to him; BC Ice Fishing
I wanted to do something special for my boyfriend for Christmas last year, and then I came across the idea of taking him ice fishing, since he is really into fishing & is going to school to be a conservation officer, plus this way I could enjoy the gift as well.
So I bought him an ice fishing package for two in Kelowna with Rodney’s Reel Outdoors. But how did I present it to him? Well of course the only way that made sense was to freeze the papers in a block of ice, so that is what I did. I presented the gift to him in a block of ice and he had to melt it to get to the gift!
Rodney, our guide, picked us up at the hotel at 7:00 am, and drove us up to Jackpine Lake. From there we had to snowmobile in! We set up our holes to get right to fishing. This was my first time fishing, and I didn’t know how I would do in the cold, and with little patience. However, we were catching fish all day! Rodney even had an underwater camera so we could see the fish coming, that was pretty cool!
I didn’t catch the first fish, but I did catch the biggest fish, which made me very proud! And we each caught more then our limit, but were able to take 5 home each, so dinner was great the next few nights! I’d have to say that this ice fishing trip was a great experience, and I am looking forward to going fishing some more!
