Leaky Tent to Camping Boler
From a two-man tent to a Camper Van as a couple, from a two-room Family Tent to a Boler as a family, from a 26 ft Class C Camper to a 36 ft Class A RV as a mature couple, we have lots of memories, some very good, other experiences we don’t care to relive: our first leaking tent and soaked sleeping bags, camping in bear country and our encounter with one black bear (that ran away when we made a lot of noise). One time, we were stranded on the side of the road with our Class C Camper. We took our chairs and books outside, made some tea and sandwiches and ‘camped’ on the side of the road until BCAA came to the rescue.
We believe camping is a great way to bond with each other. It allows us take a break from our hectic lives and enjoy the sunrise and the sunset. Camping has rekindled our love of reading and we take advantage of the Book Exchange offered in many campgrounds.
Our three grand-sons now come with us. They remind us what nature has to offer. They find so many treasures on a walking trail. They stop to look at a leaf, a flower, a branch, a worm and more. They walk on logs or leap across a water hole. They make us take photos of their discoveries so they can show their parents and their friends. This precious time with them is priceless.
