Looking for a Last Minute Gift for Your Camping Enthusiast?

Every year I bring you the top 5 gift possibilities for the avid camper.  Well, campers come in all sizes.  So this year I have included the kidlets, after all, approximately 10% of the yearly campers are under the age of 15. These last minute gifts are easy to find items that will make a big difference on your recipients next camping trip.

Vtech Kidizoom Action Cam

Vtech Kidizoom Action Cam

My first fantastic find is the Vtech Kidizoom Action Cam.  We all know that busy happy kids make for a great holiday, so this dual mount (waterproof up to 6 feet) cam gives kids from age 4 years old the ability to shoot video of their every move.  It comes with a rechargeable Li-ion Polymer battery and a microSD Card Slot (you need an SD card) to record up to 4 hours of memories at a time.  Available at various retailers.

Anderson Leveling Kit

Anderson Leveling Kit

My next find is for those that travel with a trailer, RV or any vehicle that needs leveling.  The Andersen Leveling Kit by Andersen Hitches available at most RV Dealers is the cat’s meow compared to the good old fashioned bottle jack!  If you purchase the complete kit – not only do you get a Heavy Duty Carry bag to keep everything organized, you also get 4 Tuff Pads for placing under your stabilizers, a Clean Step to put on the ground in front of your stairs to keep the stairs and the interior of your vehicle clean, a Rapid Jack – a multipurpose item that is a jack and when placed on its side you can use it for raising the front stabilizer,  two Camper levelers with four Tuff Chocks that until you have a flat tire, you won’t appreciate their use.  Take a peek at their Rapid Jack video and see what all the hype is.

Mini Silicone Lantern

Mini Silicone Lantern

Lighting is an important part of life.  I personally have purchased my fair share of flashlights, lanterns, glow sticks, table lamps, hanging lights and never seem to find the perfect multipurpose light.  The good folks at Eddie Bauer have what I call a “convertible” silicone light that can sit on a surface or it can be hung from a hook hidden in the base of it.  With the push of the button this light goes from bright to dim, one more push and it becomes a safe ambient candle, one last final push and it becomes a color changing mood light.  This light is sure to please the recipient for years and years.

Mr Beams Lantern

Okay, I guess I’m loving the lighting when I camp.  But this little beauty instantly caught my eye.  Yes, I know we try to encourage everyone to disconnect from technology when camping, but sometimes you just need a little music and the phone is where you have your favorite playlists.  Have you ever listened to your music and then realized when it’s dark out that your phone battery is extremely low, but you don’t want to stop playing the music to go and charge it?  Well Mr Beams has you covered with their Ultra bright LED Lanterns – three bright LEDs provide 260 Lumens of light.

Mosquito Repeller Scout Camp Lantern

And my final item is another multipurpose light but this time it is a Thermacell Mosquito Repeller Scout Camp Lantern. This is a great lantern to have not only when camping but on any outdoor night.  It repels mosquitoes, black flies, and no-see-ums by emitting a 15-foot diameter wall of protection for bug-free living. This light can run for 10 hours on its highest setting and has four light settings. Includes a repeller mat and one butane cartridge, but the 4 AA batteries are up to you to supply.

It’s always a great day to #CampinBC
