Little Box Canyon
Spius Creek is a major contributory of the Nicola River. It winds down through a narrow canyon and has many fascinating views. The area was logged off in the past, probably due to a forest fire occurrence. Deciduous trees and bushes line the shore and there are ample opportunities to access the creek for boating and swimming. Canoeists and kayakers frequent the class 2/3 rapids.

Take the Sunshine Valley Road (10U 0642436, 5556438) south off Hwy 8 heading west to Spences Bridge. At 2.1 km turn left onto the Jack Swartz Road (10U 0640865, 5555512). At 6 km stay right on the Jack Swartz Forest Service Road. The road gets very loose and rocky at 6.4 kms as it climbs up a steep hill. This 1.5 km section of the road requires a four wheel drive vehicle. There is possibly another access to the west off of the Prospect Creek Forest Service Road.
