Canadian RVing and Camping Month Dates:  June 1 – June 30, 2025 to join the celebrations and be part of the unofficial kick-off to summer.

Every year campgrounds across Canada invite all Campers and RVers to join them to celebrate the fun and memories Camping outdoors creates, by hosting Canadian RVing and Camping week

The month, organized and sponsored by the Canadian Camping and RV Association, is supported by the Camping and RVing BC Coalition to:

  1. Promote the lifestyle associated with camping and RVing a beloved part of Canadian culture.
  2. Promote responsible behaviour and respect by asking people to follow and take the Camper’s Code pledge.
  3. Raise funds to send children with cancer to camp via the charitable organization Care Camps Foundation (Canada).

The importance of RV and Camping Month (formerly week) has been recognized and proclaimed by the Province of British Columbia since it’s inaugural event in 2015.  Over 1,000,000 people camp or RV in British Columbia each year and the government proclamation recognizes the value of camping to the economy and its role in the health and well being of people.

INTERESTING OBSERVATIONS

The Canadian RV and Camping Industry contributes over CA$16.2 billion to the economy, employs 141,000 individuals, and has seen its popularity boom amongst consumers since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Camping is an opportunity for families to spend time together, to create lifelong memories, and to discover Canada’s natural landscape and they have never been as important to the well-being of Canadian families as they are today.

CHARITY FUNDRAISING

Since 2021, British Columbia supporters have raised over $21,500 for the Care Camps Foundation (Canada) , which allows children living with cancer to enjoy the joy, healing and freedom that comes from attending specialized oncology camps where they can just be themselves.  The camp experience equips them with the skills necessary to meet the challenges they will face while fighting their disease.
