This recreation site is a popular camping location with fishermen enjoying the lake. The scenery and wildflowers in the area and a number of nearby trails are also some highlights that can be enjoyed while at the site. ORV traffic must stay on existing roads to prevent damage to the sensitive alpine and wetland areas.

Directions

From Princeton take the Coalmont Rd. for 18 km to the town of Coalmont. Go straight at the stop sign and follow the road as it turns left. Turn right and cross the bridge south across the river, turn left onto Rice Road. Follow for 1 km and then turn right onto Blakeburn FSR. Be careful of heavy industrial traffic. Continue to 9 km where the road changes to 30 km the Lodestone FSR. Follow Lodestone for 6.5 km and turn left. Follow this road keeping right at 1 km then take right at 3 km. Take this rough and steep 4X4 road for 1 km to the lake.
