From Vancouver, drive Hwy 97 North to Quesnel (660 km/409 mi); then east on Hwy 26 to Wells and Barkerville. A short distance before the entrance to Barkerville turn east onto the Bowron Lake Road and drive about 30 minutes (28 km) over a well maintained gravel road
