This park includes a chain of picturesque small lakes, and offers 6.5 km of hiking trails, excellent fishing (non-motorized boats only), canoeing, mountain biking and swimming. Champion Lakes Provincial Park takes its name from the lakes and creek by that name and is located in the Selkirk Mountains, 18 km north west of Fruitvale. The special features of this park include the chain of picturesque small lakes, old growth forest and an example of forest succession. Park Size: 1,426 hectares WINTER – Champion Lake – full services from May 16 – Sep 15. May be open later, if full services offered, full fees charges. Still open for camping, all year, but no services offered and user maintained – During the winter season there are 5 km of set cross country ski tracks and a warming hut. Trail fees apply.
