Three beautiful lakes, including beach-fringed Bear Lake, are contained within Crooked River Provincial Park. The fine, sandy beaches are some of the best in the region and are favourites of swimmers and sunbathers. This park offers secluded campsites, 16 of which are lakeside, a separate day-use area with sandy beaches for swimming and fishing (non-motorized boats only) and 9 km of hiking trails. there is also a playground. Park Size: 970 hectares WINTER – Crooked River campground open from May 15 – Sep 16 with full services. Off season, campground is closed, but the day use area gate is open year round for winter activities but no services are provided (no water, no security). Area is user maintained. The access to the park can also be weather dependant, there is no road clearing this time of year.
