The recreation site is located north of a historical site and offers two campsites along the famous Dean River. The river here is slow and meandering, and makes a nice place to explore with a canoe. The abundant lily pads, pond reeds and waterfowl present at this site can make for some great photography opportunities. The close proximity of this campsite to Hwy 20 also makes it a popular rest stop for those wishing to explore more of the region.
