Juniper Beach Provincial Park is a convenient overnight camping spot for travellers on Hwy 1. Both CNR and CPR railway tracks run by the park; an attraction to train-buffs. This park is popular for boating, fishing, hiking, train-spotting, and kayaking. Also wild prickly pear cacti bloom in abundance and there is a sandy beach with a natural swimming pool.
