McCrae Lake is a small scenic alpine lake. It is accessed by an easy 2.7 km hike in the sub alpine. From the site, one has access to alpine meadows and nearby peaks. All vehicles (motorized and non motorized) are restricted in the area during the snow free months.

Follow Airport Way south from Revelstoke. The McCrae Lake Trail is located 33 kilometers from the end of pavement on the Akolkolex-Crawford-Dupont Forest Service Road. Vehicles are strictly forbidden in the alpine areas beyond the parking lot.
