This is a small day use only site with a treed lakeshore; good fishing opportunities, easy access, and a large stone pillar within easy walking distance. Pillar Lake is named after a natural pillar that is about 90 feet tall (28 metres). On the top of the pillar balances a boulder that has been estimated to be about 8 tons. Camping overnight is not permitted at Pillar Lake Recreation Site.
