A family vacation destination since the 1950s, Wasa Lake village advertises the warmest swimming lake in the Kootenays. This park protects a grassland ecosystem, which includes a portion of North America’s most northern Ponderosa Pine forest. Wasa Lake Provincial Park offers camping, swimming, hiking, cycling, boating and nature viewing opportunities. there are also 4 large lakeside day-use areas. Park Size: 144 hectares WINTER – Wasa Lake – full services and fees from May 16 – Sep 30, after that, gate is closed, but campers can use the park, but no services are offered so campers must walk in and be self-sufficient. Gate is closed during the off-season. If full services are provided, full fees will be in effect. If no services are provided, user maintained with no fee.
